The corner building in the street had been empty for years. The owners decided to rent it and fix it up. What was once a dark corner, they have now transformed with the help of their friends into a wonderful place to cook for the whole neighborhood. The centerpiece of their food shop is the wood oven for baking artisanal pizzas.

The original Neighbors started six years ago in Bos en Lommer, on the edge of the Erasmus Park (where Pit is also served). After opening two extra branches in Groningen, it was time to expand in Amsterdam; Buurman De With. In addition to their delicious pizzas, they also serve pasta, antipasti, snacks, breakfast and lunch dishes.

Fonteyn is in the sun from ten in the morning until late in the evening. Fonteyn is a cafe with a wide variety of drinks including organic juices and different types of draft beer. The menu offers all kinds of goodies for lunch, snacks or snacks. Other than all that it's a beautifull and cozy cafe located on the always busy Nieuwmarkt.

Peperwortel was opened in 1995 by two friends, Elianne and Sasja, who developed their love for cooking while studying. Together with brother Bart, they wanted to create a place where work and home could be combined, and where both staff and people from the neighborhood could also come home.

They have realized this wish in a characteristic corner building, overgrown by grape bushes, on the Amsterdam Overtoom, exactly opposite the Vondelkerk and the entrance to the Vondelpark.
